Public Hearing | August 8, 2011
The Shawnee Township Board of Trustees held a Public Hearing, August, 8, 2001 at the Shawnee Township Administration Building, 2530 Fort Amanda Rd., Lima, Ohio.
Vice Chairperson Dave Belton called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
Roll call indicated those present as follows: Vice Chairperson David Belton, Trustee Russell Holly, and Fiscal Officer Stephanie Hoffer.
A notice of this hearing was placed in the Lima News on July 29th, 2011. No one from the public was present.
The purpose of the meeting was to announce the following:
Whereas, the Township Zoning Commission held a meeting July 12, 2011, to review the petition of the Shawnee Township Board of Trustees, 2530 Ft. Amanda Rd., Lima, Ohio 45804, for changing the zoning of Township property, tax map parcel 46-1004-04-007.000, located at 2605 Shawnee Road, Lima, Ohio, 45804 from its current zoning of Residential R-I to Business BII. Properties to the north and south of this parcel are zoned B-II, and it is believed that zoning this parcel to B-II is compatible with the Shawnee Township Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
At the Zoning Commissions Meeting held July 12th, the Commission voted in favor of recommending the proposed zoning changes to the Shawnee Township Board of Trustees. (Letter attached)
The Board of Trustees shall, within 30 days of this hearing approve or deny, or approve of some modification thereof, of the changes recommended by the Township Zoning Commission.
Mr. Holly made a motion that the Shawnee Township Board of Trustees approves of the recommendation made by the Shawnee Township Zoning Commission, Mr. Belton seconded, and the motion passed 2-0, with roll call: R. Holly (Yes), Dave Belton (Yes). (Resolution to accept at next Regular Board Meeting)
With no further business to be brought before the Board of Trustees, Mr. Holly motioned the meeting adjourn, Mr. Belton seconded, and the motion passed 2-0. Meeting adjourned at 7:15pm.
