LEGAL NOTICES

Within the unincorporated areas of Shawnee Township, Allen County, Ohio excessive vegetation is not permitted under the Ohio Revised Code Section 5579.05, "Noxious Weeds" and/or Section 505.87, "Abatement of Vegetation".

The Board of Trustees hereby informs all property owners within the unincorporated areas of Shawnee Township to cut and destroy noxious weeds and abate, control, or remove vegetation that constitutes a nuisance. Property owners are instructed to continue to control excessive vegetation throughout the growing season.

Owners of land within the unincorporated areas of Shawnee Township should take notice. Failure to control excessive vegetation will result in having that vegetation cut by the Township. The cost will be assessed to the property via the tax duplicate assessment of Allen County, Ohio.

The Shawnee Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing

Tuesday, September 14 at 7:30 PM in the Shawnee Township Administration Building, 2530 Fort Amanda Road, Lima, Ohio 45804
for the purpose of hearing a Variance petition from Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan.

PCS is the owner of tax map parcel #46-1100-01-005.000 located at 1776 Buckeye Road, Lima, OH 45802.
PCS wishes to erect a Business or Manufacturing Display Sign on their new building at this location that exceeds the maximum height permitted in Article XVIII of the Shawnee Township Zoning Resolution which regulates Signs and Signage.
